Remote divorce in Mexico
If your marriage was registered in Mexico and you wish to divorce but do not plan to travel to the country, we can arrange your divorce remotely, quickly and efficiently. This will save you time and eliminate the costs of flights and accommodation in Mexico.
The divorce will be formally granted by a judge in the appropriate jurisdiction. As a result, you will receive an official divorce certificate issued by the Civil Registry (both long-form and short-form versions), duly apostilled.
Important conditions:
- The marriage was registered in Mexico, regardless of when or in which state;
- The couple has no minor children;
- The marriage was contracted under a separation of property regime (Separación de Bienes).
Required documents (scanned copies):
- Mexican marriage certificate;
- Valid passports of both spouses;
- Mexican residence cards (if available).
The divorce can be completed without the presence of one or both spouses.
The standard processing time is 10 business days, including apostille of the divorce certificate. An expedited option is available, allowing completion of the divorce and issuance of the apostilled certificate within 5 business days.
